Astrology and Angels
In ancient tradition, Astrologers believed each planet had a guardian angel and those angels would help you in the areas that the particular planet ruled. For example if you wanted more motivation you would call on St. Michael.
I believe everything has guardian angels, including plants, cities, and countries and so on. If you like to call on the angels for help, I find lighting a candle in honour of their powerful intercession with God, helps. It makes the prayers more powerful, that is if you do it with humility and faith.
Below are some of the angels and their days which are important to them. These are examples of the areas that they help in.
MICHAEL is the archangel of the Sun, which governs Leo. So Michael rules self expression, ambition, careers, leadership and human destiny.

RAPHAEL is the archangel of Mercury, which governs Gemini and Virgo. Raphael rules all areas of communications and short trips, learning and healing.
Day is Wednesday.
ANAEL is the archangel of Venus which governs Taurus and Libra. Anael rules love, romance, the arts, social graces and harmony.
Day Friday.
GABRIEL is the archangel of the Moon, which governs Cancer. Gabriel rules femininity, intuition, the home, the family and anything psychic.

SAMUEL is the archangel of Mars, which governs Aries. Samuel rules combat, assertiveness, courage, speed and protection from danger.
Day Tuesday.
SACHIEL is the archangel of Jupiter, which governs Sagittarius. Sachiel rules financial gain, higher education, politics, religion, good luck and teaching.
Day Thursday.
CASSIEL is the archangel of Saturn which governs Capricorn. Cassiel rules rewards from hard work, discipline, justic, steady progress, the elderly and destiny.

URIEL the archangel of Uranus, which governs Aquarius. Uriel rules astrology, mysticism, brotherhood, humanitarian goals and abrupt change.
